WordPress currently powers about 25% of all websites. My site runs WordPress and I consider myself a constant student and learner of WordPress. JetPack is a free plugin for WordPress that we’re going to look at today. JetPack currently has 36 modules that have been divided into 8 categories.
I’m a co-organizer for our Oklahoma City WordPress meetup group and I did a presentation on JetPack on July 27th. Below, I invite you to look through my slides to acquaint yourself with all the modules and a brief explanation of what each one does.
If you’re a presenter, then you know that the study put in before a presentation is a great benefit to the presenter. As a result of preparing the JetPack talk, I’ve now started using these modules – either on my site or client sites:
- mobile
- subscription (let’s people subscribe via email to your blog)
- Photon – speeds up your site because images are hosted over at WordPress.com
- Site Verification – verify your website with Google, Pinterest and more by putting the embed code into a form instead of having to get in your site’s CSS editor and try to find the right place to put it!
Please go through the slides for more information. What module did you find to try out?
